Two different stages
An operator may review and approve a withdrawal before your payment provider processes it. An advertised payment speed may refer to only one of these stages.
Checks, limits and delays
Check identity requirements, method availability, minimum and maximum withdrawals, fees and any processing schedule. Payment timings should have a source and check date; an advertised estimate is not a guarantee.
If a payment is delayed
Keep a record of the request and ask the operator for the current status and reason for the delay. Follow its complaints procedure if the issue remains unresolved.
What usually happens after you request a payout
When you ask to withdraw, the request typically enters a pending period during which the operator reviews it. During this stage the operator may check your identity, confirm the payment method is in your name and look for bonus rule breaches. Once approved, the money is sent to your bank, card or wallet, which then has its own delivery time.
E-wallets and open banking transfers often arrive quickly after approval. Debit card payouts can take longer, sometimes several working days, depending on your bank. Requests made at weekends or on bank holidays may not be processed until the next working day.
Common reasons for a delay
The most frequent cause is incomplete verification. Uploading clear identity and address documents when you open an account, rather than when you first withdraw, avoids most delays. Other causes include a withdrawal to a method that does not support payouts, an active bonus with unfinished wagering, a request above a daily or weekly limit, or extra checks on larger amounts.
Identify the legal business and exact domain. Verify any claimed licence with its issuing authority and check the activities covered. An overseas licence does not establish permission to operate or promote gambling in Malaysia.
How we measure payout times
Operators publish their own processing estimates, and those estimates are labelled as such on World’s Best Casino. A measured payout time only appears when it comes from recorded test withdrawals, and we show the number of tests alongside the figure so you can judge how much weight to give it. Advertised estimates and measured test results are different.
One quick withdrawal does not prove that every withdrawal will be quick, and one slow payout does not prove a site is unreliable. Sample size matters.
Steps to take if a payout is slow
First check the account’s withdrawal history and any messages or emails asking for documents. Then contact customer support and ask for the reason and an expected date in writing. Keep screenshots of the request, the times and every reply.
Use the operator’s published complaints procedure and keep your records. Check its terms for any independent escalation arrangements, eligibility, deadlines and costs. WBC cannot access accounts or resolve transactions.
Common questions
Why is my first withdrawal slower than later ones? First withdrawals often trigger identity and payment-method checks. Once verification is complete, later withdrawals usually move faster.
Can a casino hold my winnings indefinitely? No. Ask the operator to explain the delay in writing, including the account status and any outstanding requirements. Keep the reply and use its complaints process if the issue remains unresolved. Any escalation depends on the service and applicable law.
Do weekends affect withdrawal times? They can. Some operators approve withdrawals only on working days, and banks may not process card payouts at weekends or on bank holidays.
