Analytics cookie lifetimes
Google’s configured default duration for _ga and _ga_<container-id> cookies is two years and can be renewed on visits. In a Chrome browser test on 15 October 2026, _ga and _ga_GYRC29PE00 had stored expiry dates 400 days after acceptance.
Both were absent before consent and after rejection, and were removed when consent was withdrawn. Other browsers may shorten these periods or remove cookies earlier. Browser-cookie lifetimes are separate from the Analytics data-retention periods below.
Google Analytics data retention
Historical Google Analytics account check on 15 October 2026: that checked property used 2-month event-level and 14-month user-level retention, with the user-data timer reset on new activity. These observations do not verify the settings of a new or remixed Analytics property.

Lovable support confirmed on 16 October 2026 that __dpl keeps a page's scripts, styles and other assets on the same deployment during publishing. It holds a deployment identifier shared by visitors to the same build, not a visitor identifier, and is not used by Visitor analytics.
It lasts 24 hours from the most recent page load and is renewed on each HTML page load. The Google Analytics control does not manage these hosting cookies.
