HOW WE REVIEW

Our review methodology

How World’s Best Casino evaluates operator information, offer conditions and evidence. Brand testing, ratings and measured payout results are separate.

How this framework works

Our review framework has two stages: eligibility checks and weighted assessment categories. Each category has defined evidence requirements. General brand testing, a completed rating and a measured withdrawal result are separate claims.

A published score requires the full framework and recorded evidence for every category. List order is not a rating.

Stage one: eligibility checks (pass or fail)

Identify the legal business and exact domain. Verify any claimed licence with its issuing authority and check the activities covered. An overseas licence does not establish permission to operate or promote gambling in Malaysia.

Domain: the website we link to is a domain listed against that licence on the register. This protects readers from clone sites using a familiar brand name.

Check the operator’s current terms and applicable requirements before acting. General guidance is not a guarantee, legal advice or evidence of local authorisation.

If gambling is causing harm, stop and speak to a trusted person or a qualified health professional. Check operator closure and self-exclusion options, and ask your bank about available payment controls. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Clear terms: full bonus terms are published and reachable before sign-up.

Stage two: assessment categories and weightings

Bonus fairness (25%): wagering multiple, whether wagering applies to the bonus or to bonus plus deposit, game weightings, maximum bet, expiry and any cap on winnings.

Payments and withdrawals (25%): available methods, minimum and maximum amounts, fees, pending periods and the time from request to funds received, measured in recorded test withdrawals with the sample size shown.

Terms and account conduct (15%): clarity of general terms, verification requests, dormant-account charges and how the operator handles bonus abuse rules.

Safer-gambling experience (15%): how easy limits are to set and lower, reality checks, and whether marketing respects those choices.

Customer support (10%): channels, hours and the quality of answers to set test questions.

Product and usability (10%): game range, mobile experience and accessibility.

What evidence each category needs

Each category is intended to rely on a primary source: the regulator’s register, the operator’s published terms, or our own recorded test. Marketing banners and third-party summaries are not accepted on their own. Where a check has been recorded, such as a licence register check, its date is shown.

Accuracy and evidence

We publish recorded facts rather than guesses or figures carried over from other sites. An overall score requires evidence for every assessment category.

Rechecks and changes

Our intended practice is to recheck licence status at least monthly and offer terms at least every two weeks while an offer is shown. Check dates are entered by the person who did the check, never automatically. A displayed check date refers to the recorded check, not the date of your visit.

When an operator’s licence is suspended or a serious concern emerges, we aim to remove its listing from comparisons promptly. The review page stays online and explains that the operator is not currently listed.

Commercial independence

Our policy is that commercial agreements play no part in this framework and that commission does not change a weighting, a score or the wording of a review. Where we ever offer a paid placement, it is labelled as paid and kept separate from assessed comparisons.
